Creal, a Lausanne, Switzerland-based mild area show know-how firm, raised $8.9M in funding.
The spherical was led by ZEISS, with participation from new and present buyers, together with members of the UBS non-public investor community.
The corporate intends to make use of the funds to speed up:
- its supply of a digitized imaginative and prescient care platform based mostly on its mild area show know-how to customers, consistent with a licensing settlement to empower ZEISS’ new diagnostic and therapy units;
- the continued miniaturization of its AR mild area module, advancing it towards seamless integration into light-weight, modern AR glasses for enterprise and, in the end, client markets.
Led by CEO Tomas Sluka, CREAL is a show know-how startup with a technical staff drawn from initiatives at Intel, Magic Leap, EPFL and CERN. It has developed a patented mild area micro-display know-how stack, projecting photos with life like depth. Whereas serving imaginative and prescient care functions, the corporate naturally expands its mission towards AR {hardware}.
The increase introduced the full quantity to $32M.
