Cowboy Clean Fuels, a Greenwood Village, CO-based local weather tech and power transition firm, raised approx $13M in Collection B funding.
The spherical was led by Machan Investments, the household workplace of former power govt Dan Dinges. Mixed with $7.8M in Power Matching Funds (EMF) from the Wyoming Power Authority (WEA), this capital will help the event of CCF’s first industrial mission in Wyoming, the Triangle Unit Renewable Power and Carbon Seize and Storage (TRECCS) Mission.
Based in 2020, and led by CEO Ryan Waddington, CCF makes use of depleted Coal Mattress Methane (CBM) wells and infrastructure in Wyoming’sPowder River Basin to generate carbon-negative RNG from agricultural byproducts. These byproducts are transformed into CO2 and renewable methane by a biogenic course of in deep, geologic coal formations. The commercialization of this know-how, termed “Biomass with Carbon Elimination and Storage, plus Renewable Pure Fuel (BiCRS+RNG),” represents a scalable, capital-efficient resolution within the renewable power sector.
