Core Sound Imaging, a Raleigh, NC-based supplier of medical imaging platform, acquired a $80M Development funding from PSG.

The corporate intends to make use of the funds to help platform’s plans to assist speed up its progress in core verticals, enter new scientific areas, and additional allow AI utilization on its platform.

Co-founded by Mark Smith, CEO, and Laurie Smith, CRO, Core Sound Imaging has supplied specialised options for the medical imaging workflow, together with picture storage, a zero-footprint viewer, and a collection of interpretation and structured reporting instruments. Its flagship answer, the Studycast system, is at present utilized by hospitals, personal practices, scientific analysis labs, and education schemes in 49 US states and seven international locations.

At the moment, Studycast’s core medical specialties embody cardiology, vascular surgical procedure, and OB/GYN, with modalities together with ultrasound, nuclear medication, electrocardiography, and extra.
