CompTIA just lately upgraded its PenTest+ certification program to coach professionals on cybersecurity penetration testing with coaching for synthetic intelligence (AI), scanning and evaluation, and vulnerability administration, amongst different issues.

PenTest+ certification coaching now consists of entry to a hackable web site that gives dwell targets and vulnerabilities for cybersecurity professionals to determine and mitigate real-world threats, in line with CompTIA. The certification course will validate that cybersecurity professionals have data and expertise in “penetration testing, vulnerability evaluation, mitigation, reporting, and different obligations that proactively defend cybersecurity assets,” CompTIA stated in a press release.

Cybersecurity penetration testing, or pen testing, includes a safety evaluation wherein a safety skilled acts like a malicious hacker would and simulates a cyberattack on a pc system or community to determine potential vulnerabilities. This lets organizations then proactively deal with the vulnerability or weak spot and repair them earlier than an precise assault happens.
