Comcast, a worldwide media and expertise firm is deploying Qwilt’s Open Edge platform to boost its content material supply community (CDN) and enhance streaming and gaming experiences for customers.

The initiative goals to carry extra computing energy nearer to customers, leading to quicker, extra responsive web companies.

The deployment goals to create probably the most distributed CDN within the U.S., optimizing content material supply high quality and effectivity for each customers and content material suppliers.

Comcast’s collaboration with Qwilt makes use of Open Caching expertise, which is designed to enhance content material supply via a standardized platform. A set of open specs developed by the Streaming Video Know-how Alliance (SVTA) via an in depth, nine-year collaboration throughout the whole streaming worth chain enabling the very best quality of content material supply seamlessly.

This transfer positions Comcast to fulfill the rising demand for high-quality streaming companies and helps an enormous community of almost 200 companions within the content material supply ecosystem.
