Cisco layoffs hit California workers

Six months earlier, in February, Cisco introduced 4,200 job cuts in a transfer that price the corporate an estimated $800 million in pre-tax prices.

Cisco is attempting to maneuver extra shortly into three core areas – AI networking, safety and collaboration – and desires to make use of the present restructuring to pump extra sources into these progress areas, stated CEO Chuck Robbins through the firm’s fiscal fourth-quarter monetary name. 

At a part of the restructuring, Cisco is combining its networking, safety and collaboration groups into one group led by Jeetu Patel, Cisco’s govt vp and chief product officer.
