Cisco is buying threat-detection startup SnapAttack for an undisclosed quantity because it continues to increase its safety portfolio.

Established in 2001 by Booz Allen’s Darkish Labs, SnapAttack is thought for its risk detection and engineering know-how, which melds risk intelligence, assault emulation, and behavioral analytics to assist clients establish potential vulnerabilities and gaps of their networks, ideally earlier than issues occur. 

“SnapAttack supplies an answer that helps the entire detection content material lifecycle, beginning with curated detection content material discovery that’s prioritized by present risk exercise, potential affect and different components, all over to the continual validation, testing and evaluation of deployed content material,” wrote Mike Horn, senior vice chairman and common supervisor of Cisco Splunk Safety enterprise, in a blog in regards to the acquisition.
