Cellid Raises $13M in Funding

Cellid, a Tokyo, Japan-based developer of AR glasses shows and spatial recognition engines for brand spanking new units, raised $13M in Funding.

The spherical was led by Improvement Financial institution of Japan Inc. and included a third-party allotment of latest shares to funds managed or concerned within the administration of Extra Administration Co., Ltd., CVC fund collectively established by Kyocera Company and World Mind Company, fifteenth Rock, Inc., and FFG Enterprise Enterprise Companions Co., Ltd.

The corporate intends to make use of the funds to strengthen the lineup of merchandise and reference designs which can be key elements of AR glasses, equivalent to micro projectors and waveguides, and promote the event of enterprise areas that make use of reference designs.

Led by CEO Satoshi Shiraga, Cellid specializes within the growth of superior AR glass show modules, specializing in waveguides and spatial recognition engines for brand spanking new units. Leveraging optical simulation and proprietary manufacturing applied sciences, it has developed show modules as skinny and light-weight as customary eyeglass lenses, delivering clear pictures and huge fields of view for waveguides.

Moreover, Cellid gives industry-specific options powered by spatial recognition applied sciences equivalent to Cellid SLAM.

This newest financing introduced Cellid’s complete funding raised up to now to roughly USD 33 million (JPY 5.2 billion).
