Cato Networks this week launched the Cato Browser Extension that expands the corporate’s safe entry service edge (SASE) platform and its common zero-trust community entry (ZTNA) capabilities to unmanaged units and distributed bring-your-own-device (BYOD) endpoints.

The Cato Browser Extension, in keeping with the corporate, is a light-weight onramp to its SASE platform, which brings zero-trust insurance policies and enforcement to unmanaged and different units, resembling private, associate, contractor, or different endpoints, with out requiring shoppers to put in new software program.

“Unmanaged and BYOD units aren’t going away. They continue to be the weakest hyperlinks in enterprise safety. With out the safeguards of managed units, they expose organizations to extra threat,” stated Ofir Agasi, chief product officer at Cato Networks, in a statement. “The Cato Browser Extension supplies clients with the very best of each worlds: easy entry for customers and full coverage management for IT with out including one other device to handle.”
