Carbon3.ai has introduced plans to transform legacy industrial and power websites right into a nationwide community of low-carbon, AI-ready information centres. 

The £1 billion programme will see the corporate construct a UK-jurisdiction compute community of its personal design. The goal is to supply high-performance, low-carbon compute for enterprise, analysis and public providers, with all infrastructure and information processing situated within the UK and topic to home regulatory oversight.

Carbon3.ai says it has accomplished a proof of idea and is transferring in direction of a full rollout starting with a 5MW website within the East Midlands. Different websites will come on-line quickly after, with the agency having already submitted planning permission for a second facility in Derbyshire.
