Canada invests $120m to support semiconductor manufacturing

The Canadian authorities has introduced it is going to make investments $120m to advance home semiconductor manufacturing and commercialisation capabilities.

Introduced by François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Trade, Canada will finance $120m right into a semiconductor mission led by CMC Microsystems (CMC) value over $220m.

Funding can be supplied through the Strategic Innovation Fund to create a pan-Canadian community of main stakeholders from an array of fields.

These stakeholders will assist help semiconductor design, manufacturing and commercialisation, in addition to develop cutting-edge sensor expertise.
