Broadcom strikes chip deals with Google, Anthropic

Anthropic stated this week that the AI startup’s annual income run fee has now crossed $30 billion, up from about $9 billion the earlier yr.

“We’re making our most important compute dedication up to now to maintain tempo with our unprecedented development,” stated Krishna Rao, CFO of Anthropic, in a blog post. “This groundbreaking partnership with Google and Broadcom is a continuation of our disciplined method to scaling infrastructure: We’re constructing the capability essential to serve the exponential development we’ve seen in our buyer base whereas additionally enabling Claude to outline the frontier of AI improvement.”

Whereas this deepens the ties between Google and Anthropic, Anthropic acknowledges that it has to assist a wide range of platforms. “We practice and run Claude on a variety of AI {hardware}—AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs—which implies we are able to match workloads to the chips greatest suited to them.
