Blacksmith Raises $3.5M in Seed Funding

Blacksmith, a San Francisco, CA-based high-performance CI cloud, in the present day raised $3.5M in seed funding.

The spherical was led by GV (Google Ventures) and Y Combinator, with participation from notable angel traders together with Spencer Kimball, CEO of Cockroach Labs; Peter Mattis, CTO of Cockroach Labs; and Wealthy Aberman, Co-Founding father of WePay by J.P. Morgan.

The corporate intends to make use of the funds to increase operations and its improvement efforts.

Based in 2024, Blacksmith is a high-performance CI cloud designed from first rules to supply compute, storage, observability, and safety for CI workloads in an AI world. The hardware-software stack makes quite a few purpose-built optimizations for CI–trade-offs.

Blacksmith is already working with over 600 organizations, together with Ashby, Veed, Finch, Pylon, and Plex.
