Apple has pulled the plug on its highest degree knowledge safety device within the UK, with it confirming that the encryption of UK buyer knowledge saved on its cloud storage service, iCloud, has come to an finish.

The transfer follows a row between the American tech agency and the UK Authorities, which has demanded to be allowed entry to encrypted knowledge saved by Apple customers worldwide in its cloud service – knowledge that Apple couldn’t even entry.

Alan Woodward, a pc safety Professor on the College of Surrey, described it as an act of self hurt by the UK Authorities, including that he thought-about it to be a really disappointing improvement.
