Anthropic signs billion-dollar deal with Google Cloud

US-based AI firm Anthropic has signed a major deal with Google Cloud that’s stated to be value tens of billions of {dollars}. As a part of the deal, Anthropic can have entry to as much as a million of Google’s purpose-built Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) AI accelerators.

“Anthropic and Google have a long-standing partnership and this newest growth will assist us proceed to increase the computing energy we have to push the boundaries of AI,” stated Anthropic Chief Monetary Officer Krishna Rao in an announcement quoted by CNBC.

Nonetheless, Anthropic has no intention of ending its present partnerships with Amazon and Nvidia, as the corporate wants a number of suppliers.
