International semiconductor agency AMD is conducting an investigation following a possible cyber-attack by the infamous IntelBroker hacking group.

IntelBroker claims to have obtained data from the semiconductor producer following a knowledge breach. The group claims to have accessed data together with knowledge on future AMD merchandise, worker databases, supply codes, and monetary data.

IntelBroker posted screenshots of a number of the stolen AMD credentials on BreachForums, a platform the place customers share hacking instruments and illicitly obtained data on the darkish net.

AMD stated it’s wanting into the hack and is working with regulation setting officers to analyze the claims.

IntelBroker has carried out a number of high-profile hacks in latest weeks. In Could, the group stole labeled data from European regulation enforcement Europol and hacked into an remoted check server managed by cloud safety agency Zscaler.

The group sells the knowledge it steals on the darkish net and plans to promote the AMD data, based on its BreachForums publish.

AMD had round 450 GB of firm knowledge stolen in 2022. The hacking group RansomHouse was behind that assault, claiming on the time that workers members have been utilizing easy passwords together with “123456.”
