In a post on his verified account on X (previously referred to as Twitter), Amazon CEO Andy Jassy mentioned the e-tailer will make investments an extra $10.7 billion to develop its Amazon Internet Companies (AWS) hosted cloud infrastructure, logistics community and growth heart in Berlin, Germany.

Jassy additionally mentioned that Amazon invested a complete of roughly $82.5 billion in Germany between 2010 and 2023 and just lately invested about $8.3 billion within the European Sovereign Cloud program which is growing an unbiased cloud platform for Europe.

In response to Reuters, Amazon will spend most of this funding to develop AWS cloud infrastructure in Germany by 2026 to serve what the corporate views as “rising potential” for synthetic intelligence throughout Europe.
