Advantech taps AMD chips to boost performance in new edge AI systems

Advantech, a supplier of embedded computing options, has launched next-generation edge AI programs underneath the AIR collection, powered by AMD’s compute portfolio, together with Ryzen, EPYC, Intuition MI210 accelerators, and Radeon PRO GPUs. 

These programs are designed for demanding edge purposes corresponding to imaginative and prescient AI, real-time analytics, and large-scale mannequin processing (SLM/LLM). 

The AIR-410, AIR-420, and AIR-540 programs provide high-speed AI inferencing, diminished latency, and scalability for AI-driven options. 

“Advantech and AMD proceed to strengthen our collaboration within the edge AI period, integrating superior CPU platforms with high-performance AI accelerators and GPU options,” says Aaron Su, Vice President of Advantech Embedded IoT Group. “This joint effort allows cutting-edge computing energy to satisfy the calls for of the quickly evolving embedded AI purposes.  

Advantech and AMD’s collaboration ought to speed up AI adoption throughout industries and broaden the sting AI market.
